Our intern programmes last for a minimum of two months. Successful applicants will be introduced to a range of travel projects involving: researching and writing, image sourcing, geo-coding and mapping, and participating in the day-to-day work of our friendly Brick Lane team. Although the positions are unpaid, we will cover expenses.

Whatsonwhen Intern Projects
- Check and update information about attractions and events worldwide in our custom-built content management system
- Research and write lively and accurate content about events and attractions worldwide in our content management system
- Request/source and select photos from the appropriate sources (tourist boards, PR companies, image banks) by email and phone, obtaining copyright clearance
- Crop and enhance photos in Photoshop and record details accurately (captions, credits, source details)
What We Need
- Specialisation in online journalism
- A passion for travel
- Accuracy, flexibility and the desire to learn
- Fluency in foreign languages preferred
- Detailed destination knowledge (particularly of France or South-East Asia)
- An example of your work (100-word piece on the event of your choice)
- Your CV
- A covering letter explaining your contribution to the Whatsonwhen team
