This is a great opportunity for an ambitious self starter who wants to take on considerable levels of responsibility within months of taking up the role. As a reporter for BusinessGreen.com you will be responsible for producing a wide range of content with a particular focus on increasing the site's news output. You will have a good understanding of the commercial, regulatory, political, technological and scientific issues shaping the green business movement, and will be expected to produce well written and exclusive stories on a regular basis.

The successful candidate will have all the attributes of an effective business reporter, including the highest levels of literacy, articulacy and perseverance, as well as the ability to work well as part of a small but dedicated team.

Key responsibilities:

• The reporter will be responsible for sourcing and writing four to five news stories a day, as well as occasional features and opinion pieces
• They will be required to produce exclusive stories built around original content and add value to stories obtained from news wires.
• They will be responsible for interviewing numerous spokespeople and senior executives each day through both phone briefings and face-to-face meetings.
• They will be required to pitch new ideas for features and other content.
• They will occasionally be responsible for producing rich media content.
