We need a coordination maestro to help spread the word about global consumer rights.
With a new strategic direction launching in 2012, CI is an international campaigning NGO on the move. We want an enthusiastic, energetic production coordinator whose passion for editorial quality will help us get our message out: on time, and looking good.
Our editorial output is incredibly diverse: from briefings on the financial crisis, to blogs on junk food marketing; from features about online activism, to policy statements on sustainable consumption. We are active in every corner of the world, with member organisations in over 115 countries that, along with our global staff, produce multi-language content from Africa, Asia, Latin America and EU/US.
Your job will be to make sure that these exciting campaigns and unique global perspectives benefit from the highest editorial production values. You’ll be doing this by coordinating the production and delivery of CI’s content across our communications portfolio; from the web, to traditional print publications.
Being part of a small international communications team, we will also be looking to take advantage of your own editorial skills to polish up draft copy, proof outgoing materials, and contribute to regular communications to our target audiences.
This unique position is ideal for an editorial timekeeper. You’ll know the importance of a copy deadline, and how to get others to stick to them. A highly effective communicator, you’ll be briefing the Head of Communications daily and working with our staff across the world on a constant basis.
The ideal candidate will also need proofing and copy-editing skills of the highest order, as he/she will be responsible for ensuring CI’s editorial is error-free and pitch-perfect.
This is a role ideal for someone wanting to take their editorial coordination skills to the next level - an excellent opportunity to show what you can do, with an international organisation making a real difference.
