Computing is looking for an enthusiastic reporter to join the team on the UK’s leading business technology publication. The successful candidate will have some experience in journalism and a desire to be involved in all aspects of modern journalism, covering news, analysis and features in print and on the web, as well as areas such web seminars and other video content including interviews and case studies.

The Role

Based in Incisive Media’s Soho offices, the role involves writing content aimed at an audience of senior technology professionals, following developments in the IT sector and building up a contact base of industry experts.

The ideal candidate will have a journalism or IT degree, with some experience working on a technology publication. They will have a strong news sense, excellent writing ability and the confidence to build relationships with industry contacts. Equally important is hands on experience with technology, and an ability to form an opinion on different vendor offerings and positions. An enthusiasm for technology is an absolute prerequisite of the role as you will be expected to quickly master the subject matter and the technology journalist’s constant companion - the TLA (Three Letter Acronym).
