You will be working on an online publication covering digital marketing and advertising, seeks a data-driven person to work with our online journalists, graphic designer, and occasionally, the business development team.
This is a newly created role aimed at generating ideas for commercially-viable editorial projects both online and in person at events and managing these projects through to publication. The special projects editor would work to develop and produce special reports, webinars and other projects agreed with the publisher.
The Role
Working with the publisher, the special projects editor would generate new ideas and determine the commercial potential of these projects. Once the project has backing, the editor would write, edit and produce the report, or lead the webinar.
The role requires meeting with key people in the industry sourcing hot topics and generating ideas. Work on a day to day basis will be determined by the project currently under way, and how close it is to publication. However, the special projects editor would also be expected to contribute copy along, with the current editorial team and as directed by the executive editor.
The exact number of new special reports/webinars/other projects will be determined with the publisher, in line with budgets. The editor will receive a bonus based on targets being met.
